Well, it can be said that this formulation is AREDS 2 inspired, but I would say that it is, in fact, much more improved as it incorporates more vitamins and minerals and some herbs known to be beneficial for the eye health, such as Bilberry and Grape Seed extract, among many others. This is one of the most complete eye health supplements that I have ever seen. And I applaud the fact that the distributor Lean Nutraceuticals had this supplement third-party lab tested for purity and potency, which has now become industry best practice.
The bottle contains a good complex of vitamins not only particularly for eye health but for the whole body. Vitamins A, C, and E are essential for maintaining good eye health. B vitamins and other nutrients can also be good for the eyes. Deficiencies in particular vitamins can increase the risk of different health conditions. Our doctor told us that lutein and zeaxanthin can help protect the eyes from harmful high-energy light waves like UV rays in sunlight, also as I read, studies suggest that a high level of both in eye tissue is linked with better vision, especially in dim light. Long story short, there will be no harm, so why not to try help your eyes? The price is average for a vitamin complex. 60 capsules, 30 servings.
My husband uses these to help his eye health. He says he can tell there are less floaties as he uses these consistently. The price is very reasonable: $21.99 for 60 capsules at the time of review.
I battle with dry and itchy eyes on a daily basis. Since starting this supplement over the past week I have noticed an improvement already. I think it’s too early in the process to say much more but so far I think taking this supplement has been helpful and I love it!
These are easy to take, with no aftertaste. I’ve found these to be great in reducing my eye strain and keeping my vision clear. Without them, I find that my eyes strain easier. A good amount of servings are in the bottle and I will be continuing to take these daily to maintain my eye health.
